What I Test For
Most people in Nelson assume their water is fine.
This test lets you see the results for yourself not take someone's word for it.
During your free visit I carry out three tests on your tap water
1. pH Level Test This shows whether your water is acidic or alkaline. The ideal drinking water pH is between 7 and 8. Water that's too acidic can affect taste and may be harder on your body over time.
2. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) Test TDS measures everything dissolved in your water — minerals, salts, metals and other particles. Pure water has a TDS close to zero. Nelson tap water will show a higher reading. I explain exactly what that means for you.
3. Electrolysis Test This is the one that surprises people most. I place electrodes into a sample of your tap water and run a small current through it for 30-60 seconds. The colour the water turns indicates what's present:

🔵 Blue — bacteria, viruses, pesticides, chemical fertilisers

I’ve spent close to 20 years working with water filtration systems, so I understand how they work and where they make sense and where they don’t.
I’m local to Nelson and I’m not here to push anyone into anything.
